Visual C++ 2010 crash on startup

Actually it was “almost” on startup, it was the first time I would click anything. And a full reinstall and reset of user settings (/ResetSettings) did not help.

And here is the explanation: Visual C++ 2010 uses WPF, WPF uses DirectX, and I recently toggled on this little checkbox in the debug drivers…

Damn, two hours of my life I’ll never get back.
